Twitter lists is a new way to group your Twitter followers. You can even add people that you don’t want to follow to a Twitter list. Using Twitter lists, you can keep track of people you follow on Twitter including:

• Family
• Friends
• Bloggers
• Clients
• Companies
• Industry Experts

Below we will explain how to create a Twitter list and how the Twitter Lists work.  For those that prefer video vs. text watch the great video Twitter Lists tutorial below from Johni Louise (follow her on Twitter).

Here are the steps from your main Twitter page:

1. Click create new Twitter list in the new section on the right sidebar.
2. Name it and choose whether you’d like the list to be private or public.
3. You can then visit someone you want to add to your list and from there, alongside each username you’ll notice a drop down menu allowing you to add that person to a particular list.

Once you’ve created a list, assuming you’ve made it public, you’ll be able to share the URL with whomever you choose.
